Congratulations on finishing Diva. You may already know but you can't actually complete Ameya's story unless you've done all of the different color witch quests in "Pool cooler" with other characters. I finally managed it but at that point was a little burned out with the game. I should get back to it.

Seriously, try dual-wielding Rifles with Prov arms and/or Dbl Shot I skill. Don't pair a rifle with a burst weapon (aka Dbl Shot II), it limits the effective range and the computer skills are opposites. Dual Shotguns or MG's work real well, Flamers are IIRC too heavy to dual wield. The ONLY good application of Dbl Shot II IMO is P-Gun (when you unlock it) & Rifle. If you don't have enough AP to fire the P-gun on a given turn, lead with the rifle instead, if the skill procs you of course get the other weapon kicking in for free.

One thing I'm fairly sure of (but haven't done the rigorous data collection to PROVE) is that Rifle accuracy is seriously overestimated by the game, at least, at lower weapon skill levels. If you're told you have an 80% to hit an enemy with no evasion, you won't hit 8 out of ten times. More like 6 out of 10. Then factor in enemy evasion once it appears....much frustration! Once you get your skill to something like C⭐⭐ or better, the estimates get more accurate. Snipers who miss gain no EXP, whereas burst gunners are merrily racking up broken limbs and kills left right and center. Zoom skills help, but still... My solution was, because rifles are 1-handed weapons in FM3, was to give my sniper the Prov arms from Yun's wanzer, then build a dual-wielding rifleman on a missile wanzer body! This way, when Dbl Shot 1 procs, giving the sniper multiple attempts to get a hit, at least ONE of the shots will hit!

I wouldn't have doubled up Chaff. It can only trigger once per round anyway, and you cost yourself a possible offensive chain attack.

While our hero is pretty lethal as a Double Assault, I dislike the vulnerability of not carrying shields, and melee units, even the tanky ones, can get you in trouble under the "Average Damage" rating simply because they can't avoid counterattacks. Therefore, as soon as we get the fourth party member (the sniper in either story branch), I like to swap the rifle wanzer to Hero and build the 4th guy as a burst weapon (SG at first to build AP). My default party then becomes Missile, Rifle, Burst, Burst (one of the last three _might_ be dual wielding). I then rotate the burst weapons (including flamers, when they become available) among the burst gunners to keep the skill levels in line. Why make Hero the sniper? So he'll be the one with the right skillset to go with the P-Gun when it becomes available!

I would have passed on EXP*2; you're cruising as-is. If you let your weapon levels get too high, you start getting penalized in after-action reviews (Average Weapon Level), and knocks you out of contention for Platinum. Save it for later in game for when weapon retraining is needed.

The RNG just hates you. It usually doesn't happen that often, on average.

You CAPTURED A KYOKEI? I am so envious. I usually have to do the network things to unlock them for later purchase. I love the one you get c/o Miho in Alisa story branch, for ONE reason: the legs. The rest of the wanzer is crap, the skills are useless if not counterproductive (Hit or Miss turns a shotgun into a rifle with half the range! And negates the main virtue of shotguns, namely stripping of badly damaged parts, so that future big hits -- missiles, rifle shots, and punches -- get steered toward parts that deserve bigger hits!). Kyokei legs, when available, become a permanent fixture of my missile unit, to give it more mobility for a bearable amount of additional weight. DmgFix100 is one slot and useful early in playthroughs, once you're allowed to set up your wanzers. Curious to see if you do that in your playthrough. I only use missile unit legs long enough to learn desired skills (preferably in sims, not actual combats).

Emma's not Russian (that would be Zaftra, like Latona from FM4), she's some other ex-Soviet-bloc (Lithuania, Romania, or Ukraine, aka Ravnui). And she's probably adopted the speech patterns of the USN; her intellect and perceptiveness means vocal mimicry would be effortless for her.

So I usually color-code wanzers by tactical role. Missiles stay USN light blue. Pure melee stays Marcus/USN-Marine dark blue (I usually convert Marcus into a burst weapon or second Double Assault, though). Double Assault becomes the Purple People Beater. Snipers are yellow ("I'm not yellow, I'm gold!"). Burst + Shield (SG/MG) is yellow-green (darker greens disappear into forest, I know that's what camo is for in real life but >I< want to be able to see my wanzers). Dual-wield gunners are orange because I need to watch their health more carefully. Flamers are red. I SO wish there were cheat codes to unlock the NPC color sets for player use. The JDF interior guard red/grey set is never seen again after the previous battle, Kuroi's color set is cool (though best not to use it until near endgame, to avoid confusion), USN/IN commando (Griffith's Qibing 0) color set would look great in Alisa storyline, where it doesn't appear at ALL (or in any battle except that one in Emma story, the tunnels where you're facing him, again to avoid confusing oneself), and I really think in the story branch where we are working with Centipede (I forget which one it is) their color scheme should be unlocked for player use. Or cheat codeable.

14:39 I would have used the Odin to guarantee stripping the Enyo's (L) gun hand, would have given Emma's followup missile a 1/3 chance of hitting Body instead of 1/4. You burned a 151-point big hit on a 5-point body part (that could have already been gone). That was probably the difference between Gold & Platinum. You MIGHT have been able to make up the difference with the bonus for killing the reinforcements, had they been allowed to arrive, but still, well done overall.

Wow, with getting stunned twice and losing a wanzer part, I would have thought AvgDmg would have been too high for Platinum! AND collected two surrenders! Good job! I know from experience how sensitive these battles are to initial conditions, your opening move was absolutely perfect, I learned something!

I'd never dual wield SG/flamer. It limits you to the flamer's range of 2, and an unwanted Double Shot trigger negates the classic 4AP flamer finesse shot for capturing surrendering wanzers. I prefer matched weapon (dual SG, dual MG, or dual rifle), with exception of P-Gun & Rifle. Dual rifle compensates for overestimated rifle accuracy. ROFUP III gets you the same double damage with a single burst weapon (and shield!), obsoletes dual wields. Not enough AP for P-Gun? Lead with the paired rifle instead, and still attack every turn. Earn AP -60% and you don't need the rifle any more, you shoot the P-Gun 2/3 rounds if no trigger, every round if it does. On any dual-wield build, defensive skills like Brace I or II are an absolute must! Never have more than one dual-wielder in any given battle.

Cordycep may be a great place to grind items but I really hate playing through it. You get used to the paths eventually but it still takes forever to get around. Each of the potential bosses is also annoying in it's own way. It might be my least liked world and if I don't need items I tend to skip it if possible.

It's sad that Wednesday is obviously from Delta Base but nothing in the game reacts to that in contrast to Siugnas' route. It feels like Diva's story was done last and they ran out of time or money or both.
